Part-Time Pharmacist Facilitator

Having opportunities to learn from practicing pharmacists is an important part of the student experience at UBC Pharm Sci. As one of these pharmacists you would be able to share your knowledge with learners while simultaneously supplementing your own growth and development as a pharmacy professional.

We are looking for instructors from a wide range of pharmacy backgrounds to teach in the Entry-to-Practice PharmD program at UBC. You must be licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia. Injection certification and experience in teaching, precepting, and facilitating are considered assets. We are currently recruiting for relief positions during the 2020-2021 academic year.

"I really enjoy being a pharmacist facilitator/instructor for Pharmacy Lab. It's very fulfilling to be able to mentor and coach students as they learn to apply their skills and knowledge in practice lab. I am playing a role in giving back to my profession, and at the same time, keeping up to date with the skills which are required from new pharmacists." – Adeline, pharmacist facilitator

"Pharmacist Facilitators are an integral part of our teaching team and we are very fortunate to be able to draw on their experience. Students often say how much they appreciate the real life perspective these pharmacists bring to the lab. The program really wouldn't be the same without them." – Kathy, faculty member
