Part-Time Pharmacist Facilitator

Having opportunities to learn from practicing pharmacists is an important part of the student experience at UBC Pharm Sci. As a Pharmacist Facilitator you will have the opportunity share your knowledge with learners while simultaneously supplementing your own growth and development as a pharmacy professional.

We are looking for Pharmacist Facilitators from a wide range of pharmacy backgrounds to teach in the Entry-to-Practice PharmD program at UBC Pharm Sci. You must be a licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia. Injection certification and experience in teaching and precepting are assets. These paid positions, $135 per shift, are for regularly scheduled shifts or relief shifts during the academic year (September 2022 to May 2023).

"Being a Pharmacist Facilitator has been one of the most fulfilling experiences in my career thus far. Not only has it allowed me to connect with students one-on-one to shape their understanding of what real life pharmacy practice looks like, but I've also been able to sharpen my teaching skills, stay up to date in various key areas of knowledge, and meet like-minded pharmacists from different backgrounds. It's a refreshing change of pace from day-to-day practice and I really enjoy what every practice session has to offer." - Chuchu, Pharmacist Facilitator

“I have found the Pharmacist Facilitator position to be both satisfying and challenging.  It is satisfying to work in a congenial environment, supported by faculty and staff to allow me to achieve our common goals which is teaching the students about pharmacy.  At the same time, it is challenging as I continue to update my clinical knowledge and communication skills allowing me to be more clinical and time efficient at work.  For pharmacists who want to be challenged and work with a great team this is the position for you.” – John, Pharmacist Facilitator
