Orientation & Onsite Coursework
The first week of the first term will include both Patient Assessment Skills coursework and a formal program orientation at the UBC Vancouver campus. This orientation will introduce students to the Faculty, its expectations for academic and professional conduct, and some of the skills required to succeed in the program. Students registered in the Critical Appraisal of Pharmacotherapy Literature courses, will be required attend a Bootcamp session on Day 5 of the first week. Attendance in-person is mandatory for all registered course and orientation sessions.
Students in the Flex PharmD program will begin their first term with PHRM 452 Patient Assessment Skills. This course includes 3.5 days of onsite coursework, details of dates and time are listed above. Students may register for additional course during the first term as they seem fit. Instructions on course registration are available in your Welcome Letter.
Sample 3-year & 5-year program maps are available for individual consideration. Course registration and scheduling will vary based on your experience, prior learning assessment decisions, course availability, personal/work schedules. You are encouraged to discuss your course schedule with an advisor in the Faculty.
