About

As the assistant director of the Pharmacists Clinic, Allison is responsible for operational leadership of the Clinic team, achieving strategic goals, mentoring students and developing the future innovation agenda.

Prior to joining UBC, Allison was the national director of pharmacy innovation at a Canadian pharmacy company, providing strategic direction for change initiatives in pharmacy services and operations, interprofessional collaboration and healthcare technology.

A licensed and residency-trained pharmacist with almost 20 years of experience in the pharmacy sector, Allison has experience in a variety of work settings including community pharmacy (independent and corporate), pharmaceutical manufacturing, health technology, supply chain and provincial and national leadership roles. Allison served for six years on the BC Pharmacy Association board with one term as president. She has also participated in provincial and national committees and working groups dedicated to the advancement of the profession of pharmacy.

Allison’s dedication to the profession and patient care is evident in her work to mentor and train student pharmacists and pharmacists to practice to their full scope. Allison is also an enthusiastic advocate for continuing education and knowledge sharing that enables pharmacists to optimize patient health outcomes.
