About

Paulo Tchen completed a bachelor of science in pharmacy and a master of business administration at UBC. He also received his certificate in the scholarship of teaching and learning in higher education from UBC. Paulo has worked as a pharmacist and pharmacy manager in Seattle, WA and a pharmacist at Vancouver General Hospital. Paulo currently practices as a relief pharmacist in Vancouver.

Paulo is a lecturer and course coordinator with the Office of Experiential Education in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UBC.

Paulo's teaching areas of interest include community service learning, transitioning students into practice, and practice educator development.

Paulo's research interest include online transition modules for pharmacy students, integrating student pharmacists into a busy pharmacy practice, as well as reviewing practice workflow to optimize the delivery of clinical services and patient care activities by pharmacy teams.
