Larry Leung BSc(Pharm), PharmD, RPh
Associate Professor of Teaching (with Tenure)
Dr. Larry Leung is an Associate Professor of Teaching at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He holds a bachelor of science in pharmacy and also completed a postgraduate Community Pharmacy Residency at UBC. He currently serves in the following academic leadership capacities – course coordinator of PHRM141 Seminar: Pharmacists in Practice I, PHRM261: Indigenous Health and Cultural Safety, and PHRM323 Pharmaceutical Care in Indigenous Health; Neurology Module co-lead of PHRM 212 Medication Management III; Interprofessional Education Curricular Theme co-lead. Larry has a strong passion for collaborating with colleagues and external partners to explore three educational and scholarly areas of significant interest: 1) decolonizing and Indigenizing pharmacy education, 2) interprofessional education, and 3) the role of the pharmacist in practice and neurology.
Larry currently serves as co-principal investigator of a Vancouver Foundation grant entitled, "Uprooting Pharmacy: A Two-Eyed Seeing Path for Change" and principal investigator on a Community-University Engagement Support fund entitled, "Leading by Learning: A Patient-Engaged Education Program for Parkinson’s Disease.”
Larry's current focus of scholarly research is on Indigenous health and interprofessional education.
