Admission Requirements

UBC's Pharmacy Practice Residency program encourages applications from eligible graduates of both Canadian and foreign pharmacy schools.

Required Credentials and Qualifications

Applicants are required to be registered and licensed as a pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia to complete a pharmacy practice residency. All exams required for licensure must be completed prior to the residency program start date

Selection is competitive and is determined using a matching process conducted by the BC Pharmacy Practice Residency Program Committee and the CSHP Residency Matching Service. For the 2018-2019 application cycle and onward, all residency programs in Canada will be using a single online application process administered by CSHP. This application portal is called Pharmacy Residency Application and Matching Service (PRAMS). Information on PRAMS, can be found here.

We also encourage out-of-province applicants for our residency positions. Our residency program has been enriched in the past by the participation of pharmacists who bring their different backgrounds and experiences to BC.
