Dr. Janice Yeung (She, Her, Hers) is a Lecturer and Director, Office of Experiential Education in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, Janice worked in community pharmacy practice in both rural and urban settings before returning to complete her hospital residency at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver and post-graduate Doctor of Pharmacy degree at UBC. She practiced as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist with the Leukemia/Bone Marrow Transplant Program at Vancouver General Hospital and served as the Residency Coordinator for the Lower Mainland Pharmacy Services Pharmacy Practice Residency Program before transitioning to her current role with the Faculty. As Director, Office of Experiential Education, Janice is responsible for the academic and administrative leadership of the experiential education programs under the Faculty’s academic portfolio. This includes the Entry-to-Practice PharmD, Flexible PharmD, and Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences programs, as well as the international pharmacy graduates’ placements (Structured Practical Training) for the Canadian Pharmacy Practice Program (CP3).

Janice serves on the Canadian Pharmacy Residency Board (CPRB) as the Association of Faculties of Pharmacy of Canada (AFPC) Representative and is a member of the CPRB Standards Working Group. With years of experience in teaching, precepting, mentoring and coaching students at all levels and a keen interest in workplace-based assessment, Janice aspires to enhance student learning in experiential education and encourage and support practice educators in the training and mentorship of our future colleagues and leaders of the pharmacy profession.
