Jas Jawanda BSc(Pharm), RPh
Coordinator & Lecturer
Jas Jawanda is a coordinator and lecturer in the Canadian Pharmacy Practice Programme (CP3) at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UBC. Jas completed a bachelor of science in pharmacy at UBC in 2006. After graduating, he worked as a community pharmacist and served as interim coordinator of Health Canada’s Canadian Adverse Reaction Monitoring Program.
Jas returned to UBC in 2007, first as a pharmacist teaching assistant in the Faculty's professional practice lab and then as a teaching assistant for CP3. Prior to assuming his current role, he served as lecturer and coordinator in the Office of Experiential Education (2011–2016). Jas continues to work in the community as a relief pharmacist.
Jas’ teaching areas of interest include community service learning, preceptor development, social media material development, personal development, and mentorship.
Jas’ research is focused on pharmacy error prevention.
