- Office of Experiential Education to identify new and optimize current strategies to support experiential partner recognition and rewards (2024).
Achieved Goals
- Launched regular Innovative Thinkers webcast series (2023).
- Recognized alumni through the annual Agent of Change and Future Agent of Change awards in (2023 and 2024) and the Alumni Builder Award in April/May 2024 (2024).
- Launched Celebration of Research event (inaugural event Nov 2022 and second event Feb 2024) to highlight research across each theme.
- Academic portfolio supported presentations at conferences whenever possible (e.g., Celebration of Research, Centre for Health Education Scholarship (CHES) conference, Association for the Faculties of Pharmacy in Canada (AFPC) (2023 and ongoing).
- Launched Strategic Plan interim report to recognise progress (Sep 2024).
- Tristan Lai and Alex Tang were recipients of the Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy's Wellspring Pharmacy Leadership Award (2024).
- Recognized faculty members through their nomination to the Scholarship of Educational Leadership professional development program (SOEL). In 2023–24, Jessica Kalra and Gabriella Wong participated; in 2024–25, Theresa Charrois and Asal Taheri.
- Renewed CORE PI Jacquelyn Cragg's Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) ($500,000 over 5 years) (Oct 2024).
- CORE PhD student Amin Adibi received a UBC Public Scholar Initiative – Health Equity Stream award for his proposed project entitled "Taking a Deep Breath: Insightful Discourses on Race and Spirometry Through Patient Engagement" (Oct 2024).
- Zhen Jin was selected as the 2024 Michael Smith Health Research BC Research Trainee Award. Working with Dr. Vu, her project focuses on “Uncovering the role of long non-coding RNA PAN3-AS1 in acute myeloid leukemia” (Oct 2024).
- Hosted annual Celebrate event to honour experiential partners across programs, and award outstanding practice educators (Nov 2024).
