Objectives
- Review space policies in light of return-to-office mandate to ensure offices are meeting staff member needs (2026).
Achieved Goals
- Optimized space in the Dean's Office by consolidating Dean's Office staff and increasing office sharing, enabling more available space elsewhere in the building (Sep 2023).
- Aligned space allocations with capacity across all portfolios for offices and labs – space planned for all new/current hires on academic and research side. Capacity for offices/labs created (Oct 2023).
- Supported repairs and renovations following flood (2024 and 2025).
- Initiated work on Indigenous student space (fall 2024). Space opened to provide a welcoming and culturally affirming environment for Indigenous students (Oct 2025).
- Continued to repurpose and reevaluate space usage to create more functional small classrooms (2025).
