Achieved Goals
- Initiated review of Pharmacists Clinic (Sep 2023). Established Advisory Committee, which included both academic and research representatives to determine the Clinic’s future direction (2024). Created and implemented plan based on outcomes (2024 onwards).
- Concluded involvement in the Pharmacists in the Primary Care Network (PCN) program (Sep 2023). Submitted evaluation report to the Ministry of Health (summer 2024). Reviewed evaluation results from the Pharmacists in Primary Care Network (PCN) approach to determine how to best proceed (2023/24).
- Partnered with Student Health Services to offer services for students in need of pharmacy support (e.g., with anxiety, ADHD, depression medications) (2024 and onwards).
- Worked to build relationships with other pharmacies on campus to ensure services across the campus community are integrated and recognize specialities of different practices (2024).
- Initiated offering minor ailments and contraception appointments at the clinic and developed procedures for virtual minor ailments and contraception service (MACS) (2024).
- Became a part of Canada’s Drug Agency Appropriate Use Program Map (CDA-AMC), a searchable repository of programs that support a coordinated approach to improving patient safety and outcomes associated with prescription medication use (fall 2025).
