Patient Services

At the UBC Pharmacists Clinic, our innovative approach meets the growing needs of people who are taking more—and more complex—medications. As drug therapy specialists, we work with you and your physician to help you get the best possible results from the medications you take.

We're Here to Help

At the Pharmacists Clinic, you'll get dedicated one-on-one time with an expert pharmacist. We work with you and your physician to identify and resolve actual or potential drug therapy problems that can get in the way of you achieving optimal benefit from your medications. Here's what we do:

Give you time and our undivided attention.
Appointments with one of our pharmacists are available in person or by telephone. The first appointment is usually 60 minutes. Follow-up appointments are 30–60 minutes, depending on your needs.

Check how your medications are working for you.
This includes prescription medications, non-prescription medications and natural health products.

Use a team approach.
We work in respectful collaboration with the physicians, pharmacists and other health professionals involved in your care. Students may also participate in your care.

Deliver detailed care plans, action, and results.
You and your physician receive drug therapy recommendations, detailed follow-up plans and our commitment to follow up to ensure you are receiving optimal treatment.

Provide answers and information.
Our priority is making sure your questions get addressed and that you understand what you need to know about your medications.

Listen to your opinions.
We ensure your voice is heard and that you are included in decisions about your health.

Give vaccinations when needed.
We can administer the routine vaccinations you need to stay protected.
