Build on your expertise as a pharmacist by taking your skills to the doctorate level with the Flex PharmD at UBC PharmSci. If you are currently registered or are eligible to be registered as a pharmacist in British Columbia—and if you're ready for the next step in your career—we invite you to apply.
Required Credentials and Qualifications
To be considered for admission to the program, applicants must:
- hold current registration as a pharmacist in BC, or
- hold registration (Qualifying Examination) with the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada and be eligible for registration with the College of Pharmacists of BC. Students with questions regarding this eligibility are encouraged to contact the College.
- meet a minimum average of 65% on the last 30 credits of post-secondary education.
- demonstrate a minimum level of English language proficiency. Please refer to UBC's English Language Admission Standard.
Enrolment in the Flex PharmD is limited and competitive. Please be aware that satisfying the minimum entrance requirements does not guarantee your admission, but only ensures your eligibility for selection. Selection is solely at the discretion of the Faculty. In our selection of applicants, we give preference to well-qualified residents of British Columbia who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada. We may give special consideration to Indigenous applicants as well as to applicants from underrepresented areas of BC. The Flex PharmD program does not accept international students at this time.
Additional criteria considered in the selection process for admission to the Flex PharmD include a supplemental application form, a personal statement and a curriculum vita. We will invite selected applicants to participate in an interview, which may take place in person or virtually. Not all applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be offered an interview.
