Alumni Activity Fund

Any UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences alum organizing an activity that brings their fellow alumni together may apply.

We welcome gatherings that build alumni connections. Some ideas for activities include:

• Coffee or tea meetups
• Lunches or dinners
• Alumni reunions
• Student and alumni networking events
• Meetups before or after conferences
• Walks or other casual social activities

We're always happy to hear new ideas!

The Alumni Activity Fund provides reimbursements of up to $100 per activity.

Funding can help offset reasonable event expenses such as:

• Coffee, refreshments, light snacks
• Venue rental (where applicable)
• Items related to your activity

Funding is available on an annual basis and is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications will be accepted while funding remains.

Complete our short online application before hosting your event.

Applications take approximately two to three minutes to complete.

You'll be asked to provide:

• Your name and contact information
• The proposed activity
• Date and location
• Estimated number of attendees
• A brief description of your event

To receive reimbursement, please submit the following within two weeks after your event:

• Receipts for eligible expenses
• Names and email addresses of attendees
• A brief two- to three-sentence summary of the event
• One to three group photos that may be shared by the Faculty in newsletters and on the alumni webpage

The reimbursement process could take two to four weeks depending on capacity.

If you enjoy bringing alumni together, consider becoming a UBC Pharm Sci Alumni Ambassador. Ambassadors receive ongoing support from the UBC Pharm Sci Alumni Engagement Office to help build alumni communities in their region.
