Lecturer, Integration Activities
Aileen holds the degrees of bachelor of science in dietetics and bachelor of science in pharmacy from the University of British Columbia. She completed a hospital residency at Lion's Gate Hospital and has practiced in various areas of pharmacy including community, hospital, residential care, and government. Aileen has worked extensively with a variety of inter-professional health care teams and stakeholders, and has been responsible for developing and implementing educational outreach initiatives for health professionals, patients, and the public. She has also contributed clinical expertise to various pharmacy practice related projects.
Aileen joined the Faculty in 2014 as a course coordinator in the Office of Experiential Education (OEE) where she coordinated the Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience – Institutional (PHAR 489) course in the BSc(Pharm) program and the Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience II – Inpatient (PHRM 272) course in the Entry-to-Practice PharmD program. As a member of the OEE team, Aileen also developed non-direct patient care practicums as part of the PHRM 473 Selected Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience and worked closely in co-leading the efforts of Experiential Education Facilitators (EEFs) for designated in-patient practicum sites across British Columbia.
Aileen currently is a lecturer with the Integration Activities Team and co-coordinates PHRM 251, Institutional Practice Skills within the Entry-to-Practice PharmD program.
