- Implemented annual staff recognition lunch (May 2023).
- Implemented retreats in various areas of the Faculty (e.g., research themes, Underserved Communities) (ongoing).
- Maintained monthly coffee breaks, welcome lunches (ongoing).
- Implemented monthly research social networking events (March 2023).
- Maintained PharmCraft MS Teams channel to promote creative and social community within the Faculty (ongoing).
- Implemented first multicultural day celebration organized by the EDI Forum (June 2023).
- Implemented first EDI Forum Book Club (summer 2023) and related event (Sep 2023); continued beyond. Book club collaborated with Indigenous author, Eden Robinson, to facilitate on campus events (spring 2024).
- Held Clinical Connections event as part of the Pharmacists in PCN Program (June 2023).
- Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies held their annual Research Symposiums (May 2023, 2024), and Career Pathways in Pharmaceutical Sciences (June 2023).
- Retirement event/announcements held for Dr Simon Albon (July 2023), Robert Sindelar and Urs Hafeli (2024).
- Maintained social committee, e.g., Glow Mini Golf (May 2023), Paint night (Aug 2023), Flyover Canada (summer 2024), Dog Meetup (Feb 2024, Sep 2024), Warrior Training (Jan 2025); annual door decorating contest (2023, 2024), annual Hallowe'en trivia (Oct 2023, 2024).
- Launched Celebration of Research event (inaugural event Nov 2022 and second event Feb 2023).
- Continued popular events like Alumni Agent of Change (March 2023), Dean's graduation reception (June 2023, 2024), Research (May 2023, June 2024) and Academic portfolio (June 2023, June 2024) retreats, and the Dean's holiday reception (Dec 2024).
- Supported by Tristan Lai and Tim Lim the event 'Category is Vogue' offered voguing lessons for beginners—teaching about ballroom culture and its significance to BIPOC and 2SLGBTQ+ communities (Feb 2023).
- Established UBC Pharm Sci Postdoctoral Society (PSPS) with the support of the ADGPS Office, with a goal to foster a community for Faculty’s postdoctoral fellows through organized social and professional development activities. (Summer 2023); president elected (fall 2023).
- Continued annual holiday EdForum engagement with faculty and staff (2023 and ongoing).
- Office of ADS initiated its portfolio's role as Faculty Advisor to PhUS Council and to the BPSc Student Association (BSA); supported the AMS club renewal process for the BSA (fall 2023 and ongoing).
- SPIIF fund approved "Fostering Student Connection and Engagement through the production of Instructor and Staff Videos" by Jocelyn Micallef—awarded $4,000. This project aimed to foster the instructor-student relationship through embedding wellbeing in teaching practices by producing instructor and key program support staff welcome videos (April 2024); two videos underway by Dec 2024.
- Awarded approximately $430 through the UBC Inspiring Community grant for the Faculty's grassroots PharmCraft group to hold 3 workshops: Learn to Crochet (Oct 2024), Painting Tote Bags (Dec 2024); Origami workshop (spring 2025).
- Re-established the Faculty-Student mentorship program for E2P PharmD students, and extended to BPSc students (Sep 2024).
- Launched semi-monthly postdoc coffee socials, creating a casual environment for postdocs to connect, ask questions, and take a break from the lab (winter 2024–25).
