Steps to Apply

1. Start early

Preparation is critical in making sure that your application to the PharmD program is complete. Please make sure to familiarize yourself with the PharmD program admission prerequisites and application timeframe.

2. Review the admission requirements

Make sure you have reviewed the PharmD program admission requirements. If you have not fulfilled the admission requirements for the PharmD program, your application will not be considered for admission.

In addition to a strong academic background, the Entry-to-Practice PharmD program seeks applicants who possess non-academic traits that are suitable for the practice of pharmacy. Selected applicants have the opportunity to demonstrate these traits by participating in interviews

3. Ask questions

Contact us with any questions you may have about the admission requirements or process.

If you are an applicant from outside UBC, you may be able to see how your courses transfer to UBC by using the UBC Transfer Credit Search Tool or the BC Transfer Guide. If your course does not appear on the UBC Transfer Credit Search Tool or the BC Transfer Guide, please contact us directly at undergrad.pharm@ubc.ca.

4. Apply to UBC

You must complete and submit the online application by December 1, 2023 in order to be considered for the September 2024 intake of the PharmD program. All applicants must pay a supplemental application fee in order to be considered for the PharmD program. Once you apply, you will receive information from the Undergraduate Admissions Office on how to submit the fee and when it is due.

Current or former UBC students can apply for ‘Change of Degree Program/Campus’ or ‘Re-Admission’ through the Applicant Service Centre (ASC).

5. Track your application

You can track your application through your Applicant Service Centre (ASC) account. Applicants who are shortlisted for an interview will be contacted directly by the Faculty.

Supporting Documents

All required supporting documents must be submitted to the Undergraduate Admissions Office. Documents sent to the Faculty will not be processed.

The Faculty does not assess academic transcripts and they should only be submitted to the Undergraduate Admissions Office. The Undergraduate Admissions will advise applicants of any other documents required for their application.

Additional costs associated with the program may include but are not limited to, living costs, practicum placement costs, possible travel to practicum placements, and course materials. We recommend speaking with an Enrolment Services Advisor to review questions related to student finances for this program.
