Catalyze Your Career Workshop Series 

Progressive, interactive workshops for Pharm Sci trainees to gain techniques for reflecting on career interests, exploring career options and jumping into the job market prepared.

Pharm Sci Venture Competition (PSVC) 

A chance for Pharm Sci trainees to get a taste of entrepreneurship and learn from biotech professionals what makes a successful innovation. Participants will attend workshops and develop a pitch deck to present to judges.

Three Minute Thesis 

Participants have just three minutes to explain the breadth and significance of their research project to a non-specialist audience. Participants will first compete within their faculties and winners will have a chance to compete against students across UBC.

Graduate and Postdoctoral Research Symposium (GPRS) 

Annual event where Pharm Sci research trainees can showcase their research through presentations and poster sessions. Includes a keynote speaker and networking opportunities. More information coming soon!

Career Pathways in Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPiPS) 

Annual professional development event hosted by the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) UBC Chapter that allows Pharm Sci trainees to network with industry professionals and gain insights into non-academic career paths. More information coming soon!

UBC Graduate Student Society (GSS) 

Run by grad students, for grad students. GSS represents and advocates on behalf of all UBC graduate students and provides services to members. Learn more about graduate student-specific resources, services and events 

UBC Postdoc Association 

An interdisciplinary group of postdoctoral fellows and research associates that works closely with the Postdoctoral Fellows Office to advocate and represent all members. Learn about postdoc-specific resources and events 

UBC Career Centre  

UBC Career Centre helps students and graduates from all academic disciplines explore who they are and what they bring to the world. Talk with a career educator, attend upcoming career events and workshops, and explore career resources 

UBC Wellness Centre  

A peer-hosted space that offers many wellbeing programs to help students to achieve their personal and academic goals. Ask about resources and explore training in a secure and private setting.   

STEM Writing Resources for Learning (ScWRL)   

A resource that provides freely available materials for teaching and learning in STEM communication. Utilize these resources to communicate effectively and develop writing skills.

Science to Business Network (S2BN)
