Pharmacy Education Research and Leadership

The Pharmacy Education Research and Leadership (PERL) research theme is Canada’s first pharmacy education research collaborative. Formalized in 2017, PERL is emerging as a leader in pharmacy education scholarship and research locally, nationally and internationally. Aligned with the Faculty’s Strategic Plan, Catalyst for Change 2.0: 2023-2026, PERL’s vision is:

“To advance the quality of pharmacy education and practice through world class educational scholarship, research, and knowledge translation.”

As a strong, cohesive community of scholars with extensive expertise in teaching, learning, curriculum development, and educational leadership across pharmacy education contexts, PERL members are engaged in identifying best practices and finding solutions to critical issues facing academic pharmacy today while fostering the next generation of educational leaders and researchers. Rigorous, methodologically diverse, and impactful inquiry and scholarship along with extensive collaborations within and beyond the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences are keys to PERL’s growing reputation and success.
